DevOps Engineer

Sofia, Bulgaria

We are recruiting as an agency for Stikcredit and Lendivo — fintech companies running mission-critical platforms used daily by thousands of users. The systems are live, the traffic is real, and stability is non-negotiable.

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who will act as the technical bridge between the internal development team and the external company that currently maintains the servers. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, not a “cloud dashboard only” position.

The role

You won’t be replacing the external infrastructure provider. You’ll work with them.

Your job is to be the internal DevOps owner: the person who understands what’s happening, translates needs into tickets, monitors system health, and reacts when something goes wrong. You’ll be the first line of response and a reliable technical partner for both developers and the external ops team.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the main DevOps contact between the internal team and the external infrastructure provider

  • Monitor system health and performance

  • Perform health checks, connections, and service validation

  • React to server incidents and outages and coordinate resolution

  • Troubleshoot production issues and escalate when needed

  • Support deployments and environment stability

  • Keep systems observable and predictable, not mysterious

This role includes being available when incidents happen. You’re not expected to work alone, but you are expected to react, communicate clearly, and keep things moving.

This role is for you if

  • You’re comfortable being the person people call when something breaks

  • You stay calm in incidents and focus on solutions

  • You like understanding how systems actually work end to end

  • You can communicate clearly with both developers and infrastructure teams

  • You prefer responsibility over rigid job descriptions

What you bring

  • Experience with PHP (Laravel) environments

  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL

  • Experience with Nginx, Redis, and Elastic

  • Some experience with Python or Go

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals

  • Awareness of cyber security best practices

  • Experience with microservice architectures

  • Confident working with REST APIs

Working setup

  • You’ll work closely with an external DevOps/infrastructure company

  • You’ll be mentored by the team currently maintaining the servers

  • You’ll act as a proxy for tickets, incidents, and operational communication

Compensation & benefits

  • Around €4,000- €4,500-net depending on experience

  • Mainly office-based role

  • Additional health insurance

  • Multisport card

  • Massages available in the office
